Discord and the overlay

The Discord bot is called fkdr, like the overlay. It holds your key, announces new builds and gives you the download links. Your key must be linked to your Discord account with /key link before fkdr works in game.

Your key

command what it does
/key view Shows the key linked to your Discord account, its devices and when it expires.
/key link code:<key> Links a key to your account. Paste the key itself, or the link code from your key page on fkdr.dev. Required: fkdr does not work on a key that is not linked. One Discord account holds one key. Gives you the Licensed role.
/key unbind Frees the key's devices so it can be set up on another computer, such as a new or rebuilt PC. Twice per key; after that, open a ticket and ask for a reset.
/key unlink Removes the link and the Licensed role. The key is not deleted or reset, but it stops working in game until it is linked again.
/key reset Issues a new key, for when yours has leaked. The old one stops working.

A key is tied to the computer it is first launched on, not to a Minecraft account.

A key that is not linked gets a message in game asking you to join discord.gg/fkdr and run /key link with your licence key or the link code from your key page. If you lost your key, open a support ticket in the Discord.

Downloading

/overlay version explains the enhanced and classic versions and says which one your key is set to; /overlay version enhanced or /overlay version classic switches it. The switch completes over two launches: close the game, open it, close it again and relaunch. The fkdr app can switch it too, and installs the new version at once.

/overlay download (or /overlay app) gives you the links to the fkdr app for Windows, macOS and Linux, the same downloads as your key page at fkdr.dev/redeem. The app installs fkdr on Lunar Client and Forge 1.8.9 and keeps it up to date. See Download & install.

Release notes

Every release is posted in the changelog channel a few minutes after it goes live, one line per change. fkdr updates itself over two restarts, so there is nothing to do when a release is posted.

The Licensed role

Linking a key gives you the Licensed role. It is removed when you unlink the key, or when the key is revoked or expires. The role opens the licensed-only channels, such as #fkdr-chat.

Reports and tags

Player tags you write in the overlay are reviewed on fkdr.dev, not in Discord. See Tags & lists. Bug reports and suggestions go through the Discord's report channels or the support pages.
